The inevitable questions.

Who are we? Why are we here? What is our purpose?

These are inevitable questions that will, at some point in our lives, agonize us. Puzzling questions with vague answers based on others’ perception and not based on our inner source. Or they might offer conflicting answers that will confuse us even more, causing discord in and around us.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“From the infinite source of life

The soul descends

Into atmospheric layers of earth

Seeking refuge

In the womb of a mother to be.”

Who am I? Who are we?

I happen to be a woman, a mother, a writer, a poet… These are my human characteristics that differentiate me from others to a certain degree. And I am a soul living on earth like all of us.

Our souls are the common denominator that connects us all to the universe, and our souls have existed since the beginning of time, since the birth of our universe. They will continue to exist beyond our time here, beyond our comprehension, in a different configuration and in parameters.

It is our souls, the resilient presence within us, that give us our voice of reason, our wisdom, our courage to be authentic, to shed all of the false personas until we are naked but free, vulnerable but bold. Until we reach a plateau of clarity, that nothing binds us to regression, to fall back on our self-sabotaging, self-destructive patterns.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“The one pure presence

With boundless possibilities

Beyond the roles imposed on by tradition

Underneath all the layers

There is an undeniable

Brilliant existence in the self!”

To rescue our pure, genuine self can be an upheaval, a constant battle more so for women. For centuries women have been oppressed and manipulated, seen only in certain roles imposed on them by community, society, religion…we have no alternative but to assert ourselves to salvage our true self and our true power.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“I had launched

Into the battle of self-deliverance

Stomped by the beat of war drums

Stormed by the blast of war cries”

Unfolding our own walk from a place of authenticity usually comes with rough patches and shaky grounds, but the price of resisting it is our life. Only in self-acceptance and self-realization are we capable of accepting others.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“The Matter tearing apart, giving birth

To the Light

To our Universe

To our galaxies, to our solar systems

To our planets, to our world

And to us

Like a mother giving birth to her children…

A chaotic, massive, outward movement

Carrying the seed of existence

In various combinations”

Why are we here?

Some would say that we have unfinished business, that we are here to make amends, that we will find clues that will only reinforce our guilty consciences, suffocate us, and convince us we will never be enough. This is the stigma of the Original Sin.

It is not the Original Sin, it is the Original Explosion, the Big Bang. The birth of our universe. The separation of the light from the matter. The formation of the galaxies, solar systems, planets, the Earth, and eventually giving birth to different life-forms— and to us, humans.

This is how we came to be, and this is why we are here! We are a pure coincidence. We are the result of an enormous phenomenon that is still occurring, evolving for some fourteen billion years to an indefinite duration.

We are merely an almost insignificant and impermanent particle in this ever-changing vast universe in a fragmented time. A particle carrying in our DNA the seed of life, the traumatic explosion, the pain of the separation of the matter from the light, the magnificent power of the light and the murky-rich mysteries of the matter.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“We are

The physical expression

Of the birth of our Universe

We are

All the aspects of infinity

With all the perfection and imperfection”

Although we are just a coincidence and not even a fraction of a dot in the whole spectrum of infinity, we matter; our lives matter; the quality of life on earth overall matters. Life was conceived on our planet to breathe, to arise, and to thrive. A gift equally granted to all.

The materialization of our planet and life is the manifestation of the dance of the cosmos, the merge of the two contradictory and complimentary forces, the interaction of the light and the matter.

Excerpts from Through The Soul Into Life

“An ambivalent union

Sometimes harmoniously

And sometimes violently

The balancing act of the dualities

Since the birth of our Universe”

“As we rise from the ashes

Of pure despair

The nobility of our souls

Rises within us

Bringing a new lucidity, a clarity

And we discover a renewed hope

And moments of joy

In serving and inspiring others

Revealing our divinity is in our humanity.”

What is our purpose?

Without a purpose, we live a life of despair and emptiness, keeping our inner expansion in limbo. It is our purpose that gives us the meaning of our lives. And through our purpose grace, dignity, and integrity are revealed in us from the depths of our souls.

Our purpose is the desire of our soul and in our solitude our soul speaks to us to discern our true path, which is the path of authenticity, empathy and compassion.

We are not here to accumulate wealth at the expense of robbing others from their vitality or to acquire expensive, excessive, useless stuff which will trap us in a perpetual hollowness.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“Societies are set in the wrong values

That is why humanity is failing

That is why poverty, scarcity, meagerness

Is a widespread scenario in a world of plenty.”

We are not here to violate human rights or environmental rights, nor to wage wars. Our empowerment is not in oppressing others. It is in lifting each other out of misery, out of harsh conditions and grinding down the sharp edges from the face of earth.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“We pass through

Either leaving tracks of tears on Earth’s face

Or totems of hope”

As long as we are breathing on Earth and the Earth is breathing underneath our feet, we must bless this passage with our footprints in our unique way.

No matter who we are, we all have a gift, a hidden ingenuity to reveal it out there. It might be in art, in sports, in music, in altruism, in teaching or in any kind of profession or labor. We are here to live our potential and to put a smile on the face of humanity.

It is through love and caring for others and for the environment that our time on Earth is justified. And through our purpose we restore the enthusiasm of life.

Excerpt from Through The Soul Into Life

“Fly,

In your own and only way

To leave a mark

On the evolution of the human spirit!”
