What is the most fun part about writing? The most difficult?

Self-expression! I have always enjoyed the feeling of fear that a writer can strike into someone. The lyrical shade at my disposal is always fun. The most daunting task is feeling original; the thoughts of:

“Who cares?”

“Who will want to read this?”

and “It’s all been done” can be overwhelming.

What is your favorite post that you’ve written? Which one is the most successful?

My favorite one is called “Food Commercial Frenzy” where I went on a little rant about late-night food commercials. In such a case, living rural where Uber and restaurants don’t exist at the ready, it’s frustrating! The most popular post, in order of views, was my more recent entry, “New Gig”. I explained some good news about writing magazine articles!

Do you write anything other than blog posts?

I sure do! I am compiling some poetry on my laptop. Finishing up my Career Memoir Tales From Sabbatical! I will be contributing to the magazine Silly Linguistics starting February 2020.

How did you come up with your logo?

I first played around with royalty-free stock images. As time when on sprucing up my site, I decided to make it more my own with my original art sketches and possible working book cover selfie.

What makes you an expert in your blog’s niche?

I am a two-time writing contest winner with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, and I am a former behavioral health expert with wisdom. I try to find personable approaches to relatable content within the writing field.

“What If” Scenarios

You’re able to hire on an assistant to help you with your blog. What do you have them do?

Market research! Compile easy to use contact lists. Review with me my to-do lists. Have them make phone calls for me – as I get a little awkward in those scenarios. I would also have them help me reach out to charitable organizations and find some collaboration connections.

You’re offered a free trip to go anywhere in the world for a blog post. Where do you go and why?

I would aim for India or Israel, as they are my dream trips. Adore their differences, color, spirituality and the respective art scenes are magical. I would love to write about the Holi festival in India. It usually happens close to my birthday every year, and as an artist, the colorful experience seems breathtaking. In Israel, I would love to connect spiritually with my Judeau-Christian life. I also want to try out the night time dancing and see how I can weave it all into prose.

Your blog becomes one of the most popular blogs on the Internet. What do you do next?

Freak out in a good way. I would be in disbelief at first. Then trying to convince myself I really did something worth reading. I would encourage all followers to go check out charitable sites and give/share/have humility with their acts of kindness.

You’re offered to write a book about any topic. What is your book about?

I am doing just that. My Career Memoir is about my time as a Behavioral health specialist/caregiver. It follows a journey through patients’ incredible stories.

If you could interview one famous person on your blog, who would it be?

I would never have the opportunity nor courage to ask, but probably Noel Gallagher. The single most influential rock musician in my life. He gives hilarious interviews.

Just For Fun

A movie or piece of music that changed your life.

I’ve never been a huge movie enthusiast. I adore documentaries and stand up comedy.

A few albums would be:

Oasis “What’s The Story, Morning Glory?” Oasis “The Masterplan”

Jay-Z “American Gangster”

Jay-Z “Magna Carta Holy Grail”

Outkast “Aquemini”

T.I. “Paper Trail”

Favorite time of/part of your day.

I have never been a morning person. The only exception being Christmas in the 90’s. So I am definitely an afternoon/evening/night owl. I love to sleep! Alarm clocks are evil incarnate. Although I would make the world’s WORST vampire.

Favorite place you’ve visited/place you want to visit

Scotland and Ireland blew me away in 2007. Despite the winter chill in late March, Ireland was beyond friendly. The greenest greens you’ll ever see in your life! I was in Heaven as it’s my favorite color. Scotland was beyond expectation. Edinburgh was a cozy, comforting stay. A contrast to Dublin.

One year of your life you’d like to do over (good or bad).

2015 AND 16! I would undo so many things. Have more patience and emotional control. Not give up. Not leave. I would have had better habits and not wound up with a hemorrhagic thyroid cyst and subsequent cancer scares. I would have taken better care of my beloved KIA and not had to surrender it, only to wind up with a predatory “buy here pay here” clunker…so many things…

Your trademark feature.

Unless someone else does it for me, I do NOT wear makeup. I own makeup. I just have no idea how to use it. Bless all y’all who rock it!

I am rarely EVER without 2 finger rings or my nose ring; I got rings when I embraced my girly side in middle school, and I got my nose pierced as a 30th birthday rebellion. I’d always wanted it.
