Blog Summary:

A lifestyle blog with a focus on cleaning, pets, and relationships. There’s a lot of pictures of my pups because I love them so much and think they are the cutest ever (I’m sure everyone thinks that about their pets). There’s also stories/experiences from my life mixed in for entertainment and hopefully lessons to be learned from them as well.

Three posts that best sum up your blog:

Introduction Post

Stumbling Into Love

Home for the Holidays

Talking Shop

Why did you start your blog?

I have always had a passion for writing. I have been trying to write a novel for a while now and I like writing songs as well but I don’t ever really get anywhere with them or finish them. I think not having accountability is part of that so I thought a blog would be a good way to start writing consistently and to help me share my stories/knowledge of things with everyone else in case they can relate or if it can help someone in some way. Also, since it is public it definitely holds me accountable.

What makes you an expert in your blog’s niche?

I have been a cleaner for about ten years now, both independently and for a company so I have learned a lot and feel like I have a lot of experience to be able to share tips and tricks and speak with some authority on it since I have been doing it for a while. As for the pets part, I have grown up with them my whole life and have two dogs now so I’ve learned a lot about how to take care of them and keep them healthy and safe. Plus, I just love them so much so I have a lot of passion for animals and take a lot of pride in sharing stories about them and helping others love and care for their pets.

The relationship part I feel like I can share a lot about because I have been married, am going through a divorce and have been through a few relationships. I may not be an “expert” but I definitely have a lot of experience with them and things I can share that went wrong and things that went right to help others learn from it.

How often do you post on your blog?

I try to post on my blog 3 to 4 times a week. I took a week off for Christmas but other than that I post pretty frequently. Sometimes it may be just a quick “list” post but I try to keep most of my posts substantial. If people are taking time out of their busy days to read what I have to say I want to make it worth their time.

How active are you in the online blogging community? How has this community helped you as a blogger?

I am really active in the online blogging community. I do something everyday whether on Twitter of Facebook. I comment and participate in the threads, like, share, whatever I can do to help not only promote/share my stuff but also others. The community has helped me immensely. It gave me this opportunity to be interviewed, it has led me to find a lot of other blogs/bloggers that I am interested in and has helped me to learn how to be a better blogger. I love looking at what others have done/ do and learn from them and hope they can do the same from me.

What is the most fun part about writing? The most difficult?

The most fun part about writing for me is the act of writing itself. It is so therapeutic for me to get out my thoughts and ideas on things. I love communication in any form and writing, especially blogging, I think is a really good way to communicate your thoughts and ideas to a large audience. The most difficult is coming up with content/ideas sometimes.

I never really seem to run out of things to say, as all of my family and friends know, but creating something for people who don’t know me and to make something worthwhile for my readers can be really difficult sometimes. They aren’t going to want to read my rambling so I have to work a little harder to think of things that will actually be interesting and entertaining for them.

‘What If’ Scenarios

If you could have one person who you admire, living or dead, read you blog, who would it be?

My poppa. He passed a little over a year ago but he was always a huge influence in my life and was a writer himself. I know my blog might not be of the highest interest to him but I know he would read it and support me.

Your blog becomes one of the most popular blogs on the Internet. What do you do next?

Thank everyone for believing in me and supporting me. I would just be so grateful to everyone who reads it. Time is so valuable and for people to take their time to read what I write is just the most amazing thing to me. To think/know people think your ideas/tips/thoughts are worth their time is incredible and humbling. I would just keep doing what I do and also maybe go out for a fancy dinner because why not celebrate something like that.

You’re offered to write a book about any topic. What is your book about?

My life from about the age of 17 to now (I’m 26). I think it would be pretty relatable or hopefully it would anyway. I got into my first real relationship when I was 17. At the age of 19, I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and depression and went on medication for about 6 years. I got married at 24, went off the medication, decided I wanted a divorce a few months after getting married, found a new relationship a little while after that, moved from NY where I was born and raised to TN where my new boyfriend lived and here I am now.

I think there is a lot of connection between all those things. And I think I have a lot of things to say about all of it and how it shaped who I am today and the things I would do differently and the same. I just think it could be a pretty decent story to share. And hopefully others could learn from it. I have a lot of feelings wrapped up in that part of my life that I think it would be a really good way to get it all out and process them again.

If you could interview one famous person on your blog, who would it be?

Cher. I love her. I have been listening to her for as long as I can remember and I have watched all of her movies, and I just think she is a fascinating person and incredibly talented. To me she is a living legend and just to be in her presence would be amazing. To interview her would be an indescribable experience for me. I don’t even know if I would be able to get words out to talk to her, I would probably be way too star struck.

You’re offered a free trip to go anywhere in the world for a blog post. Where do you go and why?

Germany. Specifically Berlin. I have been there once for a wedding but I had a little time to explore and they had the most amazing Christmas market I have ever seen. It was all these little shops set up outside with all sorts of different things in each of them. You could get a drink and walk around and shop and it was so magical to me. I love Christmas so this was like a dream for me. I would definitely go back to write about it and take so many pictures.

Just For Fun

Samantha's purple ring

Your trademark feature.

A gold ring with a purple teardrop shaped stone in it. My boyfriend got it for me and since he gave it to me, I have not taken it off except to clean it. I love it and thought it was incredibly sweet of him to buy me just because he thought I’d like it, no special occasion. He was absolutely right, I love it!

Favorite time of/part of your day.

7 am to 11 am. One, the Today Show is on during that time and I love it. Also, I am just very productive during that time. I love having the show on and starting my day. I make breakfast for myself, I clean my house, I write, I get ready for my day (hair and make up). It’s just a really peaceful, productive time of day for me.

Food you’d like to win a lifetime supply of.

Grande’s pizza. Grande’s is a small pizza chain in Upstate New York where I am from and it is my FAVORITE. If that’s all I could eat for the rest of my life I would be perfectly happy. I don’t know why/how it’s different or why I think it is so good but I love it and I can’t have it anymore since I moved. When I go to visit my family in New York I am sure to get my fill but to win a lifetime supply of it would be amazing. Specifically their pepperoni pizza though. It’s all good but the pepperoni is my absolute favorite.

Your favorite podcast.

Having Funlessness with Jen Kirkman. I think she is so entertaining and just really enjoy listening to her. It’s her just talking for about an hour about whatever she feels like. It’s super relatable for me and it’s a really entertaining. I used to have to drive a lot and it was my favorite thing to listen to. It helped me pass the time without feeling bored.

Your most unrealistic dream job.

I suppose it would be to play Friends trivia. I LOVE Friends. It is my favorite TV show ever. I have seen every episode like a million times and am always taking the BuzzFeed quizzes about the show and I know so much about it. If I could be paid to play Friends trivia I think that would be the best job. I would have so much fun.
